Evidence is not required

Ahhhh yes, this will go well.

There will be men who claim to be women “perceiving” hate incidents in their thousands every day. Since evidence of malice or ill-will is not required for a hate crime or incident to be recorded, there will be thousands of them recorded every day.

Fasten your seat belts.

I wonder if they are at all aware how similar this is to blasphemy laws (i.e. identical), and how vulnerable it is to abuse from religious people.

Note: “Perception of the victim” will not apply to victims of other crimes. If you “perceive” that you were raped by a man, don’t think that means you can say things like “he” or “his” penis — you may be committing a hate crime.
