Jumpfortrump

Weirdness report:

A number of Donald Trump critics have mocked Elon Musk over his appearance alongside the former president at a Pennsylvania rally.

What, just because he jumped up and down like a lunatic?

Musk, the billionaire owner of X, formerly Twitter, and CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, joined Trump onstage in Butler on Saturday to show his support for the Republican and state that he is “not just MAGA — I am Dark MAGA.”

After Trump introduced Musk to the stage, the tech mogul enthusiastically jumped in the air several times while supporters cheered. Musk, who wore a black Make America Great Again cap, warned in his speech that “this will be the last election” if the former president does not win in November while urging people to vote.

That is an idiotic thing to say.

I’m so tired of the clown show.

Dancing to Trump’s invisible accordion no doubt, like the monkey he is. Zero dignity.

…“this will be the last election” if the former president does not win in November…

    A threat.

The fate of our civilization is at stake.

    Also a threat, also fearmongering.

Mr. Dark MAGA consults his magic 8 ball for the big predictions.

    Musk is grotesque.

It sounds like literally the same rhetoric as “Democracy is on the ballot” and all the rest that positions Trump as a threat to the Republic itself.

Well, Nullius, as with the trans ideologues, every accusation is a confession.

Musk jumping up and down on Trump’s stage reminded me of Tom Cruise on Oprah’s couch. And look how well that worked out for Tom and Katie Holmes.

Musk has also been using X to spread lies about the government’s response to Hurricane Helene. No doubt, for Musk’s defenders, this is ‘free speech’ happily at work in the ‘marketplace’ of ideas, and Musk is such a Randian genius (as his wealth — the only important thing in life — demonstrates) that lying in order to cause chaos and more suffering and death, and to support Trump’s lies and his bid for presidential office, doesn’t matter. One notices a conspicuous absence from these threads about Musk. Somebody clearly doesn’t dare to try to defend what is indefensible. But one doubts that this irresponsible and dangerous lying on Musk’s part will change entrenched, irrational opinion on the right.

I still lurk around Musk’s Twitter territory as there really is not an alternative. If I click on the For You line I immediately get an example of his ignorance, vanity and dishonesty.
