Newborns welcome in the pool

Erm…

As a few thousand people are pointing out, it’s not really a brilliant idea to send babies and toddlers and young children off to a swim night that’s “inclusive” of adults. It looks more like procurement than like jolly splashy fun with your friends.

Yeah, if you’re 24, you’re not a “youth.” And what’s to stop adults from “identifying” as children? Is anyone screening for age, or is that also bigoted “gatekeeping”?

I’m so naïve my first thought was of the sanitary problem.

John, I’m not so naive, I think its a sanity problem.

(But yeah, OK, I did have the same first thought as you).

Ynnb: I read about a father of six who decided at age 45 or so that he was “really” a six year old girl. He left his wife and has been “adopted” as a “child” . We are breathlessly told he is writing a book about his heroic journey. Although I don’t understand how a six year old can write and publish a book.
