Excuse me? The people who have been targeted are WOMEN, and they have been targeted by their own GOVERNMENT. They are defending themselves from the arbitrary power of captured departments, and if Maugham’s “Good Law Project” did what it says on the tin, he’d be fighting for these women, not against them. Was the Scottish Government allowed to implement its Self ID legislation? No, it was famously blocked, because it was attempting to impose its own legislation on other countries in the UK, over whom it has no jurisdiction.

That ‘implicitly’ is doing a lot of heavy lifting, there–he’s basically covering his ass when he knows he can be confronted with ample evidence that JKR is funding only a fraction of GC efforts in Britain (and none in the US). Anyone with no discernable tie to her is simply benefiting ‘implicitly’ from her efforts. It’s very much akin to the way the GOP talks about George Soros, really.
