Just imagine a tweet shouting about a white person who “channels” some of the most iconic poses of Black people throughout history. Imagine a tweet shouting about Sean Hannity as he channels Thurgood Marshall, Paul Robson, Fanny Lou Hamer, Ruby Bridges, Rosa Parks.

Great. A whole year of India Willoughby. Market it as a weight loss supplement; everyone would be losing their lunch whenever they look at it.
Just seeing the little bit his aping of Audrey Hepburn in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”,(visible here on the B&W post from only the middle of the nose down), it looks ghastly. And it’s clearly a man. Photoshop and AI can only do so much before they throw in the towel. The gun-toting polar bears and walruses in that “Greenland Defence Front” video were way more convincing than Willoughby’s chin.
And way more funny and charming, too.
I think the Marilyn Monroe one is even worse than the Audrey Hepburn one. The makeup artist apparently doesn’t understand that moles are usually brown. A jet-black mole on a white person looks like a tick or a melanoma.
Mole? More of a hole. It’s perfectly round dot with a perfectly crisp edge. Looks like another AI fail. I wish I knew why fakery has become so popular, or is it that authenticity has become passé.
Scarier yet is that I’m starting to understand Beaudrillard. :P
