One in a billion

What, they tripped and fell on the wrong clip? The dog ate their homework? They had the right clip all ready to go so someone must have stolen it while they were brushing their teeth?

Fox News apologizes for showing old video of a hatless Donald Trump at a dignified transfer ceremony

We’re sorry, we were just really coked up that day.

Fox News apologized for airing old video of a hatless President Donald Trump during coverage Sunday of his attendance at the dignified transfer ceremony for U.S. soldiers killed in the Middle East war, insisting it was an honest mistake.

And yet it was an honest mistake that made Trump look less like a greedy monster selling merch at a ceremony for US soldiers he got killed. What an odd coincidence.

I remember watching the Watergate Senate Select Committee hearings, and the time when Sen. Daniel Inouye got caught on a hot mic. I believe it was after John Erlichman had finished a session of testimony. Inouye said what he was really thinking: “What a liar.”

Same for this fairy tale. “An honest mistake,” my foot.

I don’t know why Fox News bothered. They could have told their viewers that it was right and proper for the president to wear the tacky hat he golfs in, and they would have agreed. Just as everyone accepts civilian presidents saluting service members when even service members only salute while in uniform.

“Fox News apologizes for showing old video of a hatless Donald Trump at a dignified transfer ceremony.” This IMHO translates as “Fox News apologizes for showing old video of a hatless Donald Trump who obviously could not give a rat’s arse for the dignity of any transfer ceremony.”

Clearly, in the Fox world, reality should never TRUMP illusion.
