It’s worth it to go back and read Obama’s Nobel Lecture. He did not deserve the prize, and he seemed embarrassed by it; he spends about half of the speech explaining why he doesn’t deserve it. But reading it today, it sounds like a rejection of the entirety of Trump’s foreign policy. He talks about the importance of NATO, the need for laws of war, the need to work within the rules, the need to provide foreign aid, and the need to fight climate change.
Obama was a disappointment in a lot of ways, but damn he could deliver a speech.
That’s an old tradition but it pretty much died out with hereditary monarchies that actually had some power. That it’s making a comeback is truly disturbing.
Yes, that appears to be pretty stupid. On the other hand, she is now going to have her prize, and the caption with the fact that it was awarded to her, on display where it will be seen by a lot of people – perhaps not a bad stab at prosperity, even if she had to treat DT as a greedy, grasping toddler to prevent a dangerous tantrum.
It shows how much she respects the Prize.
The ridiculous metallic spray-painted stick-on plastic wall accents are what make this picture.
@1 wow, good point. ‘Here, baby, take this and gnaw on it if it will shut you up for a minute.’
Sadly, probably not.
Trump continues to find depths unplumbed when it comes to stupidity, sleaze, corruption, dishonesty, bullying……
I cringiness had mass, the whole Universe would collapse to a black hole…
Shouldn’t that be DEEP STUPID?
I like to imagine the picture of George Washington is scowling at what the Orange Man has done to George’s beloved Republic.

This is moronic, but at least it’s relatively inconsequential. Maybe world leaders could keep Trump busy by making up bogus awards for him to win.
I have no respect for Machado after this, and no-one else (Trump in particular) will have either.
Well, “it” is, but the fact that he’s that moronic is not.
