Sanctions

Now why would they do that?

Trump’s administration imposed sanctions on the International Criminal Court on Friday, hours after one of its former judges won the Nobel Peace Prize, putting Washington on a diplomatic collision course with European allies.

The court denounced the ‌move as an “assault on the rule of law and on the very foundations of the international legal order,” and called on its 125 member states to take action to defend it.

It’s such a good look, too. Buffoon in blue suit does not win a prize so he tries to punish people who do better things than he does.

“President Trump will never allow the International Criminal Court to prosecute Americans,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a statement, first published by Reuters.

Yeah see that’s gangster talk. We don’t get impunity. We don’t deserve impunity. We deserve it a whole lot less now in the wake of Trump’s many violations of human rights.

“That is why, today, the United States is sanctioning the International Criminal Court. We will ban transactions with this rogue court, cutting off their resources and crippling its ability to operate.”

They want violations of human rights. They need violations of human rights. See Colonel Jessup on the stand.
