Special agents searched

Oh here we go. Bogus “voter fraud” accusations coming up.

FBI special agents searched an office of a progressive organization in Ohio on Thursday as part of a Justice Department investigation into its voter registration efforts, three people familiar with the matter told NBC News.

The search at the Ohio Organizing Collaborative’s office comes as President Donald Trump continues to suggest without evidence that voter fraud is rampant, and repeats false claims about the 2020 presidential election. The FBI in February also raided a Georgia elections hub related to the 2020 presidential election, and California prosecutors have said they are looking into claims of voter fraud in the Los Angeles mayor’s race after Trump made unfounded suggestions of fraud.

Just after Trump made bogus suggestions or because he did? Also, he doesn’t “suggest”; he emphatically asserts, over and over again. Suggesting would be a big improvement.

Voter fraud in the United States is uncommon, according to government officials and election experts. And there would have to be a massive coordinated effort in order to affect the outcome of any election.

Trump’s FBI will overcome all these obstacles I’m sure.

In His Narcissism Trump’s view, as he publicly pushes it, voter fraud has to be the only possible reason for him losing an election. What other possible reason could there be for him losing? He is clearly the greatest POTUS ever; greater than Washington; greater than Lincoln. No American of sound mind would ever vote against him, let alone support those who would chuck him into some jail.

The situation is dire enough to warrant a military coup. But he unfortunately missed out on the necessary training and experience due to bonespurs, and so is in no position to organise one himself.

Will the patriots who can please start the planning and process?

Omar, your assessment of Trumps psychology is spot on but what of the operatives who are carrying out, which is to say interpreting, his orders? (Trump wouldn’t have a clue about how to do any of this himself.) These are the people who scare me even more than the MAGA true believers. They chose to stay on in their jobs and to actively engage in what they know to be blatant lies and open corruption. And when Trump finally dies and MAGA wanes (here’s hoping) they will still be there. A future Democratic administration won’t be willing, or maybe able, to remove them for fear of being seen to be “partisan”. The damage is deep and can’t be repaired by removing a few letters from a building façade.

Except that all participants in democratic politics are inevitably ‘partisan.’ Those ‘operatives’ presumably know that, and any incoming Democrat regime will have to demand that those said ‘operatives’ shape up or ship out. If they work to sabotage the regime from within, as bureaucrats have been known to do, presumably their removal will have sufficient popular support to work. If the Dem politicians play it right, they will only have to make examples of a few of the worst and most indefensible cases to convince the rest which side of their bread the butter is on.

Let’s hope it goes that way. It’s just that I not sure we can expect it based on form.
