Yes, but Obama didn’t require constant praise. He could accept that the Boy Scout Jamboree was about the Boy Scouts, and for the Boy Scouts, and also recognize that there were people there who would disagree with everything he stood for and know that they have that right. Obama does not view himself as a demigod that must be worshipped at all costs.
