The current thing seems to be that you don’t need to actually produce evidence that a woman did something if you call her Karen. That’s all you need to make her guilty of crimes of a brobdingnagian nature.
iknklast, it’s perfectly in line with the sound byte culture in which information is spread in as few words as possible, and preferably in a single snappy phrase. For those within this culture a name such as ‘Karen’ or ‘transphobe’ is the perfect distillation of SBC as that single word suffices as the accusation, the description of the alleged wrongdoing, the evidence for the prosecution, and the verdict.
