So there was/is so much sex discrimination AGAINST women, so some laws were written to protect women and prevent this discrimination. You have to admit it is actually brilliant, you invent gender as a feeling, you put that in law and now men can claim they are discriminated against because of their sex, because they should have everything women have because of their “gender” and if there are objections, the man is discriminated on ground of his sex.
It is a totally F**ked up political, biological and legal scam, but looks like a checkmate.
Meanwhile in The Netherlands…..this is the Dutch minister of foreign affairs talking to a trans make up vlogger.
It just shows how little I know or understand, because if I crossed this person in the street I could swear it was a man. I’ve never seen a woman who looked like that.

[Off-Topic for Athel #3 — I post all my comments here from a Mac. Maybe 1-2 years ago, I had trouble posting with Firefox, so I used Chrome for a while, but Firefox works fine for me again now. I have no clue why. I’m just suggesting you remember the browsers you use, in case that’s a factor.]

It isn’t even so much that a man can claim gender discrimination too, and if anyone objects to a lawsuit on his behalf, that’s prohibited. It isn’t, as in the single-sex rape shelter case, about punishing the clinic for taking only women clients. This isn’t about forcing the law firm to take or represent trans women/male clients too. It’s far more insidious than that. Look at the phrasing: purge the website of *any* material, and stop *any* activity that “has the *potential* for generating discrimination and negative attitudes towards the transgender members of our community.” That effectively strips the law firm of the ability to conduct any litigation for women’s sex-based rights at all. ANYTHING done on behalf of women “has the potential for generating discrimination and negative attitudes towards the transgender members of our community.” Poof! The law firm’s raison d’etre disappears. They can’t do any work for women.

Don’t worry about the disappearings, Ophelia. Now I make a copy of everything before I post it, so that trying again is not a problem. However, the first message I’ve ever posted here disappeared, and I thought I might have broken some rule of the site. It took me a few weeks to try again. Anyway all that is past history.
