I’ve been googling but I can’t find any premade suffragette ribbons (like the old red aids one we wore in the 80s) or ribbon to make my own. There is ribbon in the colours, but with words on that make it look too wide for the purpose.
Any pointers? (I live in the UK).
I think I saw someone, or more than one, offering ribbons on Twitter. I’ll see if I can re-find.

Bascule, I found something on Etsy. You might try there. I know there are problems with Etsy and all that, but if they have the ribbons…
I did a quick Google image search for “suffragette ribbon” and saw some that would be easy to make expect… purple and green strip of ribbon held in place together by a straight pin or safety pin look simplest, if that’s what you’re looking for?

As for etsy, I just bought my mother her 80th birthday present from there, what are the problems?
Etsy shut down Vanessa Vokey’s store because of complaints it sold items saying “I [heart] JK Rowling” (they also said “Woman: Adult Human Female” in smaller font). These were deemed harmful. Meanwhile, items carrying the text “Fuck TERFs” continue to be sold, and, if I recall, complaints against those products did not result in any action being taken. A quick check finds lots of “anti-TERF” material, lots of anti-Rowling material, and actually a fair amount of pro-Rowling material (some very nice stuff here) right now, so maybe they got wise.

Ah, that’s interesting, hopefully you are right about the getting wise bit:)
And for no reason at all just typing that has given me an idea for making my own ribbons, why look for ribbon that has the three colours when I could use three ribbons? :)
