To say boo

Ah manly men. Afraid of nothing, they are. Women on the other hand – they’re afraid of everything, like for instance being killed or raped or beaten up or all three.

JKR is “too chicken” to mention the stupid violent bloodthirsty woman-hating fantasy porn this revolting goon wrote. He on the other hand is so non-“chicken” that he included his fantasy about her dying violently in his filthy book. Takes a lot of courage, that does.

I had assumed the Rowling proxy in the book was different from the real person, just enough to grant a plausible deniability that this was not a murder fantasy about a living named individual. In this tweet, the author removes any such defence by making the murder fantasy explicit.

It probably won’t be needed, but I thought it might be prudent to make sure the tweet was backed up.

What an obvious bid for free publicity. Of course he’d LOVE for JKR to mention him.

Perhaps sales are dipping now that word’s gotten out about the fact that this dude is truly, undeniably, a bad writer. I’m reading the fisking given the book over at Kiwi Farms (thanks, James). Amateurish doesn’t begin to describe it. (The commentary is hilarious, though!)

I would hope JKR has better things to do than engage with that rubbish. It’s not fear, it’s disinterest.

At your service, Lady M! I can’t take credit for finding it. Derrick pointed me over there. Those KF people really know how to skewer the self-absorbed numpties of the world.

Yeah, Kiwi Farms were also massive defenders of Vic Mignogna, the R Kelly of anime. They steadfastly refused to accept the view of many many US lawyers who at a glance described the defamation suit filed on behalf of Mignogna as doomed to fail and launched one of the most hilariously misguided attempts at harassment of many of those lawyers ever seen. If you have about 2 months full time reading space spare, you can read the infamous Threadnought. It’s only been three years long, although most of the good stuff is in the first two years. It’s well and truely broken Twitters threading as well.

Even if they’re doing a good job fisking that Manhunt trash, they’re a bit too slymepit for me.

Yep. Kiwi Farms is a foul, foul site overall, and one can come away from it with a distinct feeling of doom. That’s why I said (in a previous comment) that my mention of the place should not be considered a recommendation to go visit it.

Or, “The enemy of my enemy can still be an utter shit.”

Am I remembering wrong? I thought Kiwifarms was a rural retreat of sorts for trans and enby people that also love guns?

Kiwi Farms is a semi-open forum; anybody who registers can open a thread there. I don’t know how one registers; I’ve never tried.

The participants in the thread on Manhunt seem to mostly be women (some of whom are obviously gender critical); but they’re all at Peak Trans.

For my sins I’ve now read all 28 pages of the thread. Even roasted by witty people this book is as boring as it’s possible for derivative apocalyptic horror written by an autogynephile with limited knowledge of good writing, the real world, or human nature to be. And that’s pretty damned boring, no matter how many testicles the protagonists fry up.

My favorite line from the book (so far):

“Beth’s expression sobered when they both heard a high, scratchy woman’s voice shriek ‘Oh my GOD!’ in a breathless titter”

Shrieking in a breathless titter. This is Brave and Stunning transgressive Trans Literature, folxes.

After some googling, I see that I had Unicorn Ranch in mind.

Lady M – good god – every WORD of that is terrible. That takes some doing. Even “Beth’s expression sobered” is terrible – people sober, expressions don’t. One gets the idea but it’s clunky and inept. And “a high, scratchy voice” – dumb, that just sounds dumb. And then “shrieked” is superfluous. And how, indeed, does one shriek in a breathless titter. STEP AWAY FROM THE KEYBOARD SIR.
