Threats and violence

Right side of history?

That threat-image is disgusting. The threat to knock you down and injure or perhaps kill you. The scowling threatening yet waiflike anime figure – cute and murderous at once. It’s all grotesque and sadistic and utterly disgusting. There is nothing “progressive” about any of this.

Bullying and lying are not progressive.

I don’t know if I’d call it a slow capture; I can’t think of any other group that has captured institutions so quickly.

They don’t realize that if this were a replay of the Civil Rights movement, they’d be the ones with the dogs and firehoses.

Well they think they’re the Black Panthers – yet their nickname among their opponents is black pampers.

Threatening violence all too easily and quickly becomes enacting violence, especially when combined with dehumanization of those who are not “with” the cause. For against the morally monstrous, violence is heady in its righteousness.

How much success did the Black Panthers really have though? I really don’t get their understanding of the power dynamics they’re dealing with; obviously it’s a bit different in the UK. There at least they’ve got better hold of the legal levers of power. In the US though, man, do they really think they’re going to be in a position to coerce their enemies forever? Especially considering the real legal power mostly belongs to people that, shall we say, take issue with their positions…

Watching the videos from Brighton I was easily able to tell the male from the female, as well as the ones with truth on their side as opposed to the fantasists.

Most laughable bit for me – the men yelling “We fought at Stonewall” when none of them would have even been born at that time.

The most horrifying – a “woman” yelling fascist at a baby.

Yes the woman (actual woman) yelling at a baby is the first item I posted about today. It’s way down the page – there’s been a lot of material today!
