And one more thing

Trudeau pretends to express solidarity on International Women’s Day and then promptly says haha fooled you, I don’t mean a word of it.

Hooray for women’s day and also you women sit down and shut up while the men talk for you.

Piss off Justin.

No fan of JT. (Far from it.) But I think what happened is that whoever controls his twitter account posted the boiler-plate original post, .. TRA’s responded angrily, … and the employee in control of the twitter account grovelled the way they were trained to in such circumstances.

Which isn’t to say that it still isn’t supposedly his twitter account or that TRA’s aren’t obnoxious.

I don’t really see what difference that makes. It’s his Twitter account, so he’s the one saying it. If he’s stupid enough to let someone else speak for him, then that’s what he is.

Besides, the label on the image says it’s a statement by the PM. He either wrote it or endorses it.

That TRAs have been able to take advantage of left politicians not being willing to say no to gender nonsense, because they want to be popular with LGB *and* their young supporters. Honestly, I’m not sure anything less than a total takeover of government by the right is going to resolve this issue on the left.

We’re no better in Minnesota – Governor Walz signed the “gender affirming care protection act” to prevent bullies from other states from stopping Minnesota kids getting hormones and their body parts in jars as souvenirs – on IDW2023. And L Finke, a man masquerading as a woman was there to celebrate it.

Get a load of the subtitle.

Walz signs order protecting access to ‘gender affirming care’ for youth

He’s counteracting “bullies” in conservative states that ban the practice without evidence.

Walz said his order would protect doctors who provide gender affirming care and families that came to Minnesota to receive care for their transgender children. He wants the state Legislature to pass a bill that would codify those protections.

Rep. Leah Finke, DFL-St. Paul, is chief sponsor of a “Trans Refuge” bill, which she said became her top priority in November when Democrats won a trifecta of control of both chambers of the Legislature and the governor’s office.

Finke’s disrict is right next to mine. URRRGGH.

I had commented this on the article in the St. Paul Paper:

It’s past time to do some investigating on this, and as a reporter you have a responsibility to do so.

There are a growing body of detransitioners who were rushed into “affirming care” but had not had any talk therapy to discover where their feelings of gender identity came from. And they are suffering from the same side effects from the “puberty blockers” that adults do when given the drugs as last resort for prostate cancer and other care.

I am not a conservative bully, I am a liberal DFL’er in Minnesota and can’t support this executive order, but there is no one else in my party that I can find who will even listen; instead just write off anyone who objects as transphobic or a bully.

Kids need care, but that means actual talk therapy. These body modifications, even puberty blockers, lead to a lifetime of medical dependency. And breasts and penises don’t grow back when detransitioners realize their mistake. It’s too late. We don’t let kids get tattoos, why do we give them such dangerous treatments?

The comment was deactivated, I presume by the reporter, for possibly being abusive.

Minnesota is a tough place to be for a liberal gender skeptic, and I am doing a writeup on my Substack, you betcha.

I should credit the artist – Owen Smith. It’s Paul Bunyan, and a Democratic Donkey in place of Babe the Blue Ox.
