The manipulation continues
All the headlines say “transgender” players instead of “male” players. Every damn one.
Women’s Pool Final Played by Two Transgender Athletes
Two male transgender players. The male bit is important and should be in the headline and the lede. It’s the women’s final and two men played it.
Two transgender players faced-off in the final of a women’s championship pool match on Sunday—adding fuel to the fiery social debate surrounding trans athletes’ participation in women’s sports.
Harriet Haynes and Lucy Smith, who were both assigned male at birth, fought for the title at the Ultimate Pool Women’s Pro Series Event 2 in Wigan in the UK this weekend.

Newsweek goes on to distort the argument.
Critics argue trans women cannot compete on an even playing field because they have an unfair advantage, particularly if the trans sportswomen have undergone male puberty. Some also have safety concerns, including fears that women could be at risk of serious injury in the boxing ring or in other contact sports.
However, others argue that trans athletes should enjoy the same opportunity to participate in sport as anyone else, and insist that trans’ rights are simply human rights.
See it? Pretty brazen. Trans athletes do enjoy the same opportunity to participate in sport as anyone else. Men don’t have an “opportunity” to compete in women’s sport, because women’s sport is for women. That’s the same for all men: that’s the same opportunity.

“That’s the same for all men: that’s the same opportunity.”
It’s rather sinister how cleverly they conditioned people so they can quickly shout about how awful it is to even suggest that a male who identifies as a trans woman is still, in fact (and almost always rather obviously) male. The old messaging from transsexualism that still acknowledged that you do not literally change sex and any surgery or hormones are cosmetic in nature to live out one’s ideal but does not literally entail a change of sex has all but been obliterated. To be female is, in their minds, literally a matter of identifying as female, and well-meaning people have been brutally conditioned into going along with this without questioning that there are in fact actual costs to actual females.
One thing, among many others, that infuriates me about this sort of ridiculousness is that it provides endless fodder for the far-right. It is unnecessary and politically irresponsible. This putting of ‘me and my feelings” above all else endangers everybody, not least those men who declare themselves to be ‘women’ and therefore possessing the right to invade all aspect of women’s lives; as should be clear from what the Trump regime is setting about.
Seriously.
And thanks to the magic of forced teaming, trans selfishness will result in the rollback of hard-won LGB rights. It’s too bad that more people didn’t resist the creation of this chimeric “community” when they had the chance.
