Start over
Dang. That’s so the opposite of an accurate definition. It’s like saying flying is crawling through mud, or a daffodil is a mound of bear shit, or India Willoughby is thoughtful and reasonable.
Rules about where the different sexes go to pee are human inventions, and thus the very opposite of instinctive.
Oddly enough, this also applies to the word “Ladies.” It also applies to the women’s section in the shop.
I suppose she means automatically, or without having to think about it, as a result of habit. But that’s not the same thing. At all.
She’s really not sharp, is she.

Excuse my language, but Helen Webberly is a fucking idiot. Just not a serious or thinking person at all. That or mind bogglingly dishonest, deceptive, and manipulative.
These are not mutually exclusive; could be “and” rather than “or”.
She knew what a woman was when she studied to be a doctor. This is just lying, plain and simple.
Fair points.
None of the behaviors she lists are instinctive, they are all a matter of nurture, or learned behaviors. One instinctive thing (as commonly understood) for women is to be wary of males, particularly ones who are mentally unstable. Maybe she doesn’t know what instinct means.
All of this really just amounts to “a woman is someone who knows herself to be a woman.” It’s the same worthless definition as always, just slightly disguised.
Still circular, of course:
-A woman is someone who would instinctively use the bathroom for the kind of person who would instinctively use the bathroom for the kind of person who would instinctively use the bathroom for the kind of person who…
-A woman is someone who would instinctively raise her hand when someone says, ‘Those who would instinctively raise their hand when someone says, “Those who would instinctively raise their hand when someone says, ”’Those who would instinctively raise their hand when someone says…”’ ” ‘
-A woman is someone who would instinctively shop in the section for people who would instinctively shop in the section for people who would instinctively shop in the section for people who…
-Etc. etc. ad infinitum.
Of course the fact that the Genderspeak definition of “woman” (i.e. an infinite regress of “person who identifies as…”) is identical to the Genderspeak definition of “man” makes it rather awkward to explain why “misgendering” is so bad: “Stop calling me a person who identifies as a person who identifies as a person who identifies as etc. etc. I’m a person who identifies as a person who identifies as a person who identifies as etc. etc.!”
“A mustarn is someone who would instinctively:
– Use the mustarn’s bathroom when there are two choices
– Raise her hand when someone says, “Mustarna, please raise your hand”
– Shop in the mustarn’s section for clothes
– Stand on the right when told, “mustarn on the right, ostarn on the left””
The emptiness is almost impressive.
Interesting, with the nonsense names it suddenly reads like the first act in a Dr Seuss book.
Mustarn is a perfectly cromulent word.
