A new term for me! Regime comedian: someone who aligns snugly with dominant orthodoxies, never daring to challenge them, let alone mock them.
We should start using that for everything. Regime journalist, lawyer, doctor, academic, etc…

I do too, but it’s all the rage. Of course basketball and comedy are very different things, but if there must be misogyny, why shouldn’t it be directed at faux women? People expect basketball games to be women’s events, and it be an athletic competition, while with comedy you don’t have those expectations, you are either amused and entertained or the comedian fails. Women’s basketball players don’t have to do anything but compete against each other. Who goes to see a trans-comedian anyway, by virtue of them being trans? Why do women’s basketball events inspire such vulgar behavior and comedy not so much? A basketball game has a different set of expectations, ones of seeing a somewhat serious competitive event, in which the attendees get what they paid for. If you go to a comedy event and aren’t amused, then you don’t get what you paid for. They are not only unfunny, but the woman impersonator is a sham as well. The whole persona is fake. I say throw the dildos in those occasions to remind people that this person is not female, or funny, or the slightest bit entertaining.
