Oh not Judy again
Snippets from a dialogue:

Judith Butler said it, therefore it is true.
Honestly it’s so pitiful. Because she seems (to the naive) to be saying something technicalish and difficult, therefore she is a genius and to be believed without question. It’s smoke and mirrors, people. It’s pseudo-difficult. It’s bullshit dressed up in fake profundity.
Updating to add another choice snippet of bufoonish hero-worship.

Judith Butler is really a pseudo-philosopher with an obnoxious following of cultists.
I’d argue she has a lot in common with Ayn Rand and Lyndon LaRouche.
She’s such a fake. Pseudo-technical language that fools way too many people into thinking she’s both profound and correct.
How dare Lucy not adhere to Zoroastrianism! I bet she hasn’t even read the texts!
The single word anyone should read of Judith’s is “performativity.” People who accuse others of having not read Judith Butler have not read her garbage themselves, or not understood why it’s garbage.
but but…she’s contributing so much to Queer Theory! How can you guyzzz be soooo MEAN?
Queer Theory is like Sophisticated Theology (as Jerry Coyne has called some theology). A religious apologist can say that atheism is impossible, because it is impossible to read all of the books about Sophisticated Theology, therefore an atheist cannot know what they disagree with.
I might not call genderism a religion exactly, but they share some arguments.
So I have not read a word by J. B. yet I’m (marginally) interested in the subject: What am I to do?
[I say “marginally” because I view the trans issue as primarily a women’s issue: They are the ones who suffer because of it, not men.]
Shorter Tony Blain:
“Smarter* people than you believe in god”.
*Not that I’m conceding that JB is smarter than me!
Judith Butler: the idea that it’s important whether something is actually true or not is superseded and redundant, everything is performance and appearance
Donald Trump: sure is, check out my Temu gold-spraypainted Oval Office
Butler is the perfect philosopher for our times, but not in the way she thinks.
Heh.

I will defend Rand’s views on the primacy of existence.
