I’m pleased to see that I’m not the only one who emphatically insists that trans ideology is indeed an ideology.
Being LGBTQIA+ isn’t an ideology.
So when someone says they want to ‘kill’ an ‘ideology,’ I have to ask what exactly they think they’re killing? Because there’s no ideology to being LGBTQIA+. Just people.
I was drawing a deep breath to say “Oh yes there is” but then I realized I didn’t need to. (I said it anyway though. Might as well.)
Saying everyone has a “gender identity”, and that that gender identity should override sex when it comes to women only spaces absolutely is an ideology.
That’s the bigoted, misogynistic, homophobic ideology we want to see out of all our public institutions/orgs.
Believing a man can miraculously become a woman through his mimicry of us whilst dictating everyone else must believe it & give him special privilege to supersede our single sex based rights is absolutely an ideology. One you are totally immersed in, but would not die without.

Of course trans is an ideology – it’s not defined by biology.
An ideology is a comprehensive system of ideas, beliefs, and values that shapes how individuals or groups understand the world, often providing a framework to explain the present, and guide future political action.
Wrong. Just being whatever is people. People believing that it is possible to change sex &/or that ‘GI’ overrules sex or even that sex doesn’t exist are pushing an ideology. There is no basis in fact or consensus that says TG has the right to abolish women’s privacy, dignity etc.
Sex is biological reality, gender identity is a way of modelling people’s psychology developed specifically to account for the existence of people who feel some form of alienation from their sex, or affinity for being the opposite sex. When phrased in such plain language, it seems obvious to me this is best viewed as a mental illness, but this is anathema to the believers.
The push to have gender identity replace sex as the characteristic we use to decide who men and women are – and hence, who has access to the spaces reserved for either – is obviously an ideology.
This attempt to conflate beliefs with people really really gets my goat. I do an inward Charlie Brown AAUGH! every time I come across it.
