Through the blank blank eyes
People in Minneapolis and the rest of the country may be depressed by casual murders at the hands of ICE but the Trump family is dressing up for a party.
Trump and first lady Melania Trump on Saturday night hosted a private screening of “Melania,” a new documentary about the first lady — drawing criticism from Democrats who questioned the president’s priorities hours after another fatal shooting in Minneapolis upended domestic politics and raised the possibility of a government shutdown.
So there’s a new documentary about Melania Trump.
Why?
What on earth is there to say? She’s a blank space.
The documentary “offers unprecedented access to the 20 days leading up to the 2025 Presidential Inauguration — through the eyes of the First Lady herself,” according to its official description.
Who on earth cares?
Trump also has pinned a post to the top of his Truth Social feed that promotes the film as “an unforgettable, behind-the-scenes, look at one of the most important events of our time.”
Well he would say that, wouldn’t he.

Could be that the last time she opened her mouth, such a stream of erudition was released that The Donald became alarmed, because he could not understand any of it. So he told her to shut the ferk up. Maybe Stormy Daniels was also present, and gave him some moral support on that.
So I for one will not be rushing to judgement.
It opens in theaters on January 30th. Word is that ICE will be taking USCs to see it unless we turn in an immigrant neighbor.
A friend saw a trailer for it this week. She said people in the theater jeered loudly.
Is the Melania flick called “The Devil Wears Nada?”
Ha! Good one.
It’s opening in London and there’s barely a ticket been sold.
Quel surprise.

Thinking of First Ladies, there are of course some interesting ones – Eleanor Roosevelt taking the gold medal for her humanitarian work. I once saw a play about Mary Todd Lincoln, who was pretty much off her head and of course suffered a great tragedy. Woodrow Wilson’s missus, Ellen, secretly took over his duties when he was incapacitated (now that would make a good play). Jackie Kennedy – no we had far too much of her from 1960 onwards. Betty Ford was a feminist who sponsored good causes. Melania might qualify as the Least Interesting First Lady that ever was.
I’m glad we don’t make much of PM’s wives in the UK – Cherie Blair was the last prominent one. The Princess of Wales fills the Grand Lady slot.
The Wikipedia article is interesting…apparently there are plans in the works for a SERIES.
KB Player, there was also Nancy Reagan and her astrology – nice bit of potential there. Was Ronald really guided by astrology? And Michelle Obama – now there’s someone who might be interesting in her own right.
26 tickets have been sold in Scotland. I wonder if the 26 are all hate-watchers?
Current joke – it showed on a plane, and the audience walked out.
@iknklast – Hillary Clinton of course – though it would be an insult to frame her as a First Lady entire.
