Well yes, I’m anti-gender. For the reasons that Rebecca Reilly-Cooper laid out so very clearly in this essay.
The solution is not to reify gender by insisting on ever more gender categories that define the complexity of human personality in rigid and essentialist ways. The solution is to abolish gender altogether. We do not need gender. We would be better off without it. Gender as a hierarchy with two positions operates to naturalise and perpetuate the subordination of female people to male people, and constrains the development of individuals of both sexes. Reconceiving of gender as an identity spectrum represents no improvement.

Yes, on that note, gender used to be synonymous with sex. If you were a certain sex, then you were a certain gender, and yes, only the two, male or female. That’s why back in the day, a transsexual was what they would call transgender nowadays, but it’s become more convoluted because the trans cult seeks to separate sex from gender completely, and redefine it as a social or cultural definition rather than a biological one, so they can create this new socially or culturally constructed version that ignores biological sex, and it just doesn’t work by any logic I’m familiar with.
I agree, that gender could be eliminated, and if you go far enough back in the dictionary definition, and I have a very old and trusted dictionary, then you will see that transsexual and transgender are the very same thing. Sex and gender are the same thing. Not acceptable to the trans cult! But if you make any kind of distinction between ‘women’ and ‘transwomen’ it becomes immediately apparent, definition wise, and again, not acceptable to the trans advocates! “Transwomen” are not in the category of women or females at all. Are they women then? No.
