Yet another.

A women’s health campaigner and former local Labour women’s officer has been banned from the party’s women’s conference because she is trans.

No, not because he is trans; because he is a man. It’s a women’s conference.

Steph Richards is ‘gutted’ at her treatment by the party which she said once selected her as a candidate from an all-women shortlist.

And it shouldn’t have. Men should never be on all-women shortlists.

Metro revealed yesterday that four powerful Labour unions – Unison, Aslef, Usdaw, and the Musicians’ Union – are boycotting the event over the ban.

So four powerful Labour unions want men to be able to take what was intended for women. Might as well let the bosses take what was meant for the workers; it makes just as much sense.

    Note that they never suggest that some portion of the general seats (which, I suspect, mostly go to men) should be allotted to transwomen, or non-binary, or whatever. Instead, those groups should just take the seats allotted to women.

    That’s because it’s never really about going to the conference, or “playing sports with their friends” or receiving counselling for rape or whatever. It’s about gleefully taking something designated for women while being praised and admired and told they’re the best, the most misogyny-affected, the most womanly women of all. Of all their dopey slogans, the one I hate most of all isn’t really in general usage, but gets thrown around in places like Bluesky –“Trans women are the women of women.”
