Well this is at least good for an extended laugh.

The priest xirself is trans, according to xir. Xir says this right at the beginning of the clip, along with saying that hey listen to this now, god is not just non-binary, god is also trans. Yes she said it, God is trans, so exciting!!

But wait. What can that mean? How can you be both? Of course god can do anything, which is the whole point of god, because then you don’t have to explain things. But setting that aside for the sake of argument, how can you be both? They are in tension with each other. Being trans is all about being one or the other, while being non-binary is all about not being one or the other. See the problem?

So if god is trans along with being non-binary, which flavor of trans is xir? Trans what? Trans woman? (Which of course means literal woman, woman in every sense, therefore not actually trans.) But if trans woman how non-binary. It works much the same if you swap in “man” for “woman”.

Well we know how. This xir is a priest, and priests get to just make shit up. Church is exactly the right place for them, and nowhere else is.

It reminds me of a joke that went around back when I was in school.

A kid comes home from school and asks his mom “Is God a man or a woman?”

“Neither,” says mom.

“Is God black or white?”

“Neither.”

“Is God gay or straight?”

“Neither.”

“Mom, is God Michael Jackson?”

It’s all word-play. ‘Transgender’ itself has gone through a similar definition shift to that of ‘queer’ in that it is now being used as an umbrella term for any gender ‘non-conforming’ identity and/or sexuality. It’s a numbers game. There simply aren’t enough actual transgender-identifying people (in the original sense of transgender) to make a real case for political and legal change, so expanding the T to include the LGBQAIetc.etc suddenly takes them from a few thousand to….what?…millions? It’s how they justify the claim that trans people make up ~5% of the population.

In the first six days of Creation, according to Genesis, God created the Garden of Eden, and that damned talking snake that led Eve astray, and then Eve did the same for Adam. That led on to all the evil in the world. So, God had to transform Himself into His own Son, name of Jesus Christ, who deliberately got Himself crucified on a Roman cross as a sacrifice of Himself as Son, to Himself as Father, for all the mayhem in the world that followed on that first godawful divine mistake made by Him as Father and Creator, of creating that damned talking snake in the first place.

I would guess that God must have been as drunk as a skunk when He did that, and completely off His head. Or else He had been smoking a particularly strong batch of weed. Or both.

Anyway, that is my contribution to theology.
