The eyes

It’s great that all the silly old stereotypes have faded away.

Just kidding.

Test: Do you view the world through the eyes of a woman or a man?

Apparently, I am male, optically, because I prefer comfy shoes. I always thought that had more to do with a non-gendered preference for pain free and injury free walking. Silly me.

Apparently I’m non-binary because I find both of these shoes to be very ugly and would rather go barefoot.

(This is a scientific test for determining gender, right?)

I have spent most of my life viewing the world through the eyes of a people, barefoot as often as possible.

The first three comments were exactly what I thought when I saw that foorwear! Are we gender-fluid or just non-binary? I still feel like a woman, though,

This kind of thing is important, not only because of the obvious sexist mindset behind it that feminists fight the good fight against, but also because people who identify as non-binary get caught in the grinder as well.

I don’t care whether they are man, woman, non-binary, trans* or a potted plant. If they want a damned haircut give them one. I’m also pretty sure that the salon in question has breached NZ law.

Um. My first thought was the left-hand shoe spoke more to the ‘view’ of a drag-queen.

I must rush to the shoe shop. This shows I surely need new glasses. No wonder my eyes hurt.
