Actually it was even worse than that. He spent a minute and a half explaining how much he hates Inslee, announcing that “he’s not a good governor by the way,” and inventing scenarios in which Inslee would do the wrong thing. It’s a disgusting contemptible sick-making display. The Tacoma News Tribune has video of the whole 80 minutes.

It’s this weird thing that he does, a sort of anti-fanfiction, about anyone he hates. Even by the standards of narcissism, psychopathy, etc, it’s bizarre. I can only think it’s a kind of comforting thing he does about anyone he sees as a threat.
Yes, sure – he does it because it gives him pleasure in some way. I think it’s not so much about threat as about vanity: anyone who says anything other than “Yes sir, you’re a genius sir” is evil and must be insulted. I think he does it because he’s a bad malevolent aggressive person who enjoys doing bad things to people who don’t kiss his ass. It’s not his reasons that are puzzling, in my view, it’s his total lack of shame and inhibition.
