Wow. What idiot thought that this “museum” was at all a good idea?? Good on Kate Smurthwaite for protesting and raising the visibility of this cynical, voyeuristic scam.

Since it’s not known who Jack the Ripper actually was, how can the museum claim to know which was his sitting room? Even if I had an interest in Jack the Ripper I’d stay away from this travesty of a museum because they don’t know what they’re talking about.

How much public money, and/or effort from civic groups, was stolen by the con-artist who opened this tourist trap instead?
The Whitechapel murders are the most over-studied crimes in history. I think, not sure how to compare. That anyone would WANT to put up a sleazy, semi-celebratory, ‘museum’ is an insult from the start.
