Yorks coast

I happened to see this while looking for something else, and couldn’t resist it. It’s from a BBC feature on vintage railway posters.

I love the old railway posters. They have become very collectible these days, and good quality posters fetch a lot of money.

I do too, also old London Transport posters. I have a huge stack of postcards of them from the LT museum.

I find this one fetching as hell.

Looks like Robin Hood’s Bay–took my friends there for a day when they came out to visit last summer. I moved out of Yorkshire two months ago, and am still not over having to leave.

Yes, was going to say Robin Hood’s Bay too. I stayed there one night about 16 years ago. Very pretty.

On closer inspection, it says Robin Hood’s Bay in the bottom left! Just checked it out on google street view. There is a partial view from the Town slipway. It looks nice.

Ahh so it does – in such tiny print.

I want to go to there. But then I want to go to a lot of Yorks.

Yorkshire is God’s Country. I don’t know if you’ve run into this yet:
