And the problem is, his followers will believe every single one of those statements, they will parrot them, soon the mainstream media will pick them up. They will be reported at first as “Trump said”, maybe even with a roll of the eyes, but in a few short hours they will become gospel truths that must not be disputed because to dispute would get you termed “coastal elite”, which seems to be worse to be these days than Nazi.
And I have to laugh when I get termed “coastal elite”, since I live 20 minutes away from Kansas, in a deep red state that is almost as far as you can get from a coast in North America. As for being elite, I still prefer to use that in its original manifestation, to refer to the plutocracy (who for some reason these days are the ones that get a lot of mileage calling ordinary working people who happen to be educated by the name that was devised for the idle, exploitative, and unworthy rich).
