Newsweek wrote the senator “appeared unmoved by the cookie,” though Bill Kristol saw a “sickly smile” on his face — as though he had some foreboding of the storm to come.

That, or Cruz ate too much camp fire mix last night. Or, maybe being within 100m of a Trump makes him feel that way.
I don’t get it.
OK, it’s an unflattering picture of Obama, but… I simply can’t imagine what anyone could be trying to say with that cake. Trump wasn’t even up against Obama in the election.
I’m not very good at reading subtext, but here I’m utterly perplexed by the text. And that’s text coming from Twoscoops Jr and Ted Cruz? I fear my intelligence may have taken a steep nosedive recently. Maybe my brain is starting to shut parts of itself down in protest of reality.
Yeah I don’t see the joke either. Maybe someone will help us out.
In Trump’s mind, he was. Everything he has done during the campaign and since election has been against Obama. Hillary got in the way, and he nuked her to get to him.
My husband and I were just talking, and we agreed that if Obama had put through some law saying that Donald Trump should receive a million dollars a year from the government, he’d probably repeal it because Obama.
Now, what the cake means? Damn, I’m at a loss on that, too.
1. I’m pretty sure the thinking behind the photo only ran as far as “ewwww, Obama LOL.” They are pulling a face because the thing has Obama on it, and they made the thing in the first place I suspect with said gag* in mind. This is what passes for political thought and analysis within conservative leadership.
2. This is what passes for a smile on Cruz’s face.
