But, let’s remember to erase women

No, let’s not remember not to do that.

Abortion is “gendered” i.e. sex-based. If men needed abortions they would be easy to get.

Also, seriously, fuck all the way off with that idiotic slogan.

Why illustrate a “keep fighting for abortion rights” tweet with a poster screaming that abortion is not “just” a “cissue”? Why post a a “keep fighting for abortion rights” tweet with an image that insults and excludes women, the class of people who need abortion rights?

It’s very selfish of those who keep insisting on piggybacking their trans* cause on the backs of women, especially with respect to the issue of abortion which affects women profoundly.

Literally the only times I’ve seen reference or mention of trans men is in the context of pregnancy or breastfeeding or abortion, and then it’s just to use them as pawns in the trans activists’ political anglings. Otherwise, oddly enough, they warrant neither mention nor concern. It’s almost like they are women, isn’t it?

It’s so exactly as if the ENTIRE and ONLY point of trans men is the pretext to order us to shut up about women when talking about abortion rights. You couldn’t make it up. The burning progressive cause right now is to STOP TALKING ABOUT WOMEN IN CONNECTION WITH ABORTION RIGHTS.

Well, I did see trans men mentioned by PZ everytime he talked about bathroom usage. He would put up a picture of a transman who looked very male, transitioned early, had a beard, and say “This person just wants to go to the bathroom”.

PZ rarely talked about trans-women. I wonder if the cognitive dissonance of having always said “listen to the women” turning into “listen to the trans” was too much for him?

iknklast, I’m wondering if he’s hit peak. Maybe he read back his last couple of posts on the ‘grandbabies’ and the ridiculousness hit him, because his recent post about the Alabama abortion ban consistently referred to women being the victims of the ban. I don’t think he mentioned ‘pregnant people’ or even ‘cis-women’ or transmen, just….women.

    Go figure.

Gee, didn’t they all yell at him?

There were about 18 comments when I read it, and not a corrective peep.

That said, the ringleaders hadn’t yet shown up to let the rest know if they should be offended and by how much.

“If men needed abortions they would be easy to get.”

The thought experiment I sometimes pose is to imagine that somehow a fertilized egg managed to lodge itself in the man’s tissues, creating a kind of ectopic pregnancy. Would the pro-lifers treat the man the same way they demand that women be treated? If not, what is the principled distinction?

The more I see and read about shit like this, the more I believe that trans activism is a Trojan horse expertly placed behind “Lefty” lines.

Either that, or narcissists all the way down.

I think you’ve nailed it there. The other I think is just a fun byproduct to allow them to hate women in a socially acceptable manner. Sort of a two-for-one deal, if you will.

Cazz, it is literally both of those things. Yes. It really is that. It really is driven by Cluster B personality disordered people, and it really is a cult political project to shut women up.
