Just in from a little outside get-together with my neighbours in the UK. One brought champagne.
It’s amazing how much of a relief this is. In a year of terrible news, it’s as if one load was removed. It wasn’t as if Trump’s policies affected us much here in the UK, except for the long-term issues like global warming. It was just the awful spectacle of the USA being lead by such a buffoon. And that so many millions of Americans seemed to admire stupidity, name-calling, conspiracy mongering.
I do remember the horror of Reagan being elected because he was so ignorant.
Did anyone in 2008 imagine how soon W was going to los his title as the worst President in history?
