The sad thing is, by the time this fad ends, it will be too late for all the girls and women that trained so hard only to be defeated by men. They won’t be able to realize their own dreams, win their own awards or scholarships, or go on to achieve what they might have achieved because an opponent had an unfair advantage.
I’ve imagined that future conversation now and then myself.
“Why did people let men push women out of events reserved for women for a while, grampa?”
“Because they were afraid of being called conservative.”
