Curses! Damn and blast and rage against the world! How will I ever live this down? Trumped…! And in the worst possible way…!!!!
A mere two days ago I put a comment on this very site. I said:
And now this! Prayers revealed! [choke! caaargh! splutter! hawk! spit!*] And not something like “Our Father, who art in Heaven, please bless he and his family.” No. The prayers were addressed not to God, but to the late John Lewis himself, presumably now up there with the angels; and to his family still here below…! Via a tweet…!
We can only wait in trepidation for a return tweet from Lewis; maybe a joint tweet from Lewis and God. Or maybe just a tweet from God the Almighty Himself, never noted for His Sense of Humour (please note careful capitalization); so possibly to be accompanied by a thunderclap, and an earthquake, and an Armageddon or two… dozen.
