I scrolled down JKR’s twitter the other day, and I was so impressed by the creative, imaginitive, and enthusiastic responses she got for the Ickabog. I was moved nearly to tears, and her replies are encouraging, kind, positive, and authentic. How anyone gets this woman wrong is beyond me. Say something bad about Jo Rowling and see how fast you land on my shit list.
Yes, reading and viewing all those tweets this morning was touching, exhilarating, amusing, happy-making – good stuff.

Transwomen are women, and therefore, by some magic hand-waving argument about self-identity and innate essence, they are not a danger to women or children. (If you cannot ignore the very real fact that women can be a danger to women or children, you must check your privilege, call yourself a TERF, sit in the corner in time out, and write on the board 5 million times “Transwomen are women”.)
On the other hand, real women can be a danger to children, because they might be TERFs and because die cis-scum, die in a grease fire and take all your cis-scum TERF Karen friends with you.
