    I have had to look up more Scots dialect in recent weeks from following this blog and these issues than I have ever needed to look up before. Thank you, internet.

    I’d been thinking “stooshie” was Australian dialect because I first saw it via something Helen Dale said. But Helen of course has transplanted to Scotland, so her dialect is mixed.

    Can one say “Wheesht the stooshie now”?

    Substitute lyrics about the banning of western music with lyrics about the banning of discussions around women’s rights, and the song’s essence is pretty much the same.
