It’s all about control

The war on epidemiology continues.

Why? Why is it? How do we know it is? Why would the government want to “control” us in the sense of forcing us to wear masks for no reason? What does it gain from doing that? Cui bono? What does Fauci gain from it? Why hasn’t Fauci been telling us to wear masks for the past 40 years, pandemic or no pandemic? What is it for?

And the fact is, no one forced us to wear masks. Some cities and states made mask mandates; others did not. That’s pretty unsuccessful fascism, if you ask me. And that’s also why the case count is so high, because we kept on doing things the way we always did them.

I think there’s a belief among these people that their utterly mundane lives (and I’m not casting shade, I have an utterly mundane life, too) are very very important and dangerous and threatening to The Man. That way, they get to feel good about their own importance, and justify their knee-jerk “you’re not the boss of me!” antisocial tendencies as brave and rebellious, without all that tedious work and risk involved in actually being brave and rebellious.

    They imagine the following scene:

INT. SMOKE FILLED ROOM. SEVERAL SHADOWY FIGURES SIT AROUND A CONFERENCE TABLE

Conclave Member #1: “What can we do to stop Ricky126942 from going to the sports bar to watch football with his buddies every Sunday? His bold independence threatens everything we’ve worked for!”

Conclave Member #2: “And a couple of times a year, his wife flies to Vegas with her friends for a weekend. We must put a stop to this!”

    Conclave Member #3: “I have an idea….”

Yes. How is anybody so stupid that they don’t realize this?

You want a list? Seriously, it’s the norm where I live.

    lockdowns, masks, and panic policies

When did we actually get any of that here in the USA, though? We got very little to combat the spread of virus from the federal government, and not a lot from many of the state governments. At least in my neck of the woods here in the Deep South, we had a relatively short partial lockdown (which actually did reduce case counts) and then almost everything got “back to normal”. No statewide mask mandate here, even, and bars and restaurants have been open for indoor dining at full capacity for some time.

I do wonder sometimes if the US situation would have been better if, after the initial sorta-lockdown last year, a simple “no indoor dining/drinking; you’ve gotta wear a mask when in public; try to practice distancing when indoors in a public or work space” mandate would have been issued.

ARC, sort of the same here. We briefly had a mask mandate in town, but the moment our numbers went down, the mask mandate was allowed to expire. Why? Because it worked well enough that they thought we didn’t need it anymore? Throwing away our umbrella because we weren’t getting wet when it rained? No…because the comments they got were 70% against the mask mandate. The exact reason a mask mandate was needed. Because people were not going to do it on their own.

And the restaurants appear to be operating at full capacity, though it’s hard to know by anything but the cars in the parking lot, since I don’t go in them. The grocery stores NEVER instituted anything more than wishy washy signs suggesting social distancing, but kept the two way aisles so people would come down an aisle I was in the other way, which would bring them within six inches of me…I spend a lot of time backing out of aisles, and that’s if I can with all the people that crowded in behind me. And there have been several super spreader events.

Yeah, lots and lots of fascism…right. Looks more like rampant libertarianism to me.

It conditions us into becoming obedient sheep for the next thing, and the thing after that — and then the big goal: One World Government. Picture the Soviet Union under Stalin, only not as fun and lively. Christianity will be outlawed. Children will be removed from their parents and brought up by the State. And guns — will be confiscated. Yes. That bad.

It’s the Liberal Agenda, and the goal is power and secretly keeping all the good stuff for themselves.

Do the numbnuts believe that the US government runs the entire Western world? It’s not as though the only place on Earth to attempt to control COVID through use of masks and lockdowns just happens to be that stretch of land seperating Mexico from Canada. Or are they the same breed of Americans who are unaware of anything happening beyond their borders – be they town, city, state or national?

Also, according to this, there are 130 million cases worldwide. The US has 31 million cases.

AoS, the fact that other countries have imposed restrictions just proves that it’s a globalist conspiracy. Duh.

A globalist conspiracy to keep us from going to the sports bar every Sunday! Eleven!!

I bet even Flat Earthers believe it’s a globalist conspiracy – on top of the obvious Globe Conspiracy, of course.
