Yeeeeeeeeesh, those are some creepy parents.
Also of note is the bit about how the trans kids ‘tend to go back to old patterns’ whenever the parents aren’t being watchful. I thought their ‘female self’ was their innermost, truest self? Weird that it takes constant reinforcement from their parents to make it stick.

Wait, what’s this about? I’m not sure I understand. She made a gaping hole in her son’s body, called it a vagina, and has him put a dilator in it regularly so that the body won’t do what it naturally does to gaping wounds, i.e. close it up? How is Jazz not bleeding to death?

GW – presumably the so-called vagina is an internal pocket of… skin, rather than just an open wound? Kind of like an ear piercing that will eventually close up if left alone. Just far more horrifying.
