Owning a name ironically, because it’s always what men resort to when referring to women, is the exact opposite of being the slur(s) that men resort to when talking to women or about women. Cunt, whore, slag, slut — these are not last resorts, but often first resorts of men who hate women. Men get to own women and tell women what to do, because … cunts, whores, slags, and sluts. I never thought the hatred was that deep. But I guess it is.
