Our ABC, our public broadcaster, did similarly. The “best” person they could find to comment on FINA’s decision was Callum “leg breaker” Mouncey.
Not an actual woman swimmer, but a bloke. There are plenty of female swimmers who have opinions and for and against FINA’s decision who would have been preferable.
Well, it’s fair enough. I mean, it’s not as though there are any female Olympic swimming champions who have been following this exact issue for years and have offered many times to appear on TV to talk about men in women’s sports and are accomplished TV presenters in their own right and are right there on the speed dial or anything, is it?
