Inherently assigned

Step one: learn what “inherent” means.

Being “assigned” something is the opposite of “inherent.” Way to ruin your own punchline.

As to the substance of the first tweet – of course they’re not. Trans women are men, by definition. “Natural women” is more a song title than a meaningful claim. “Normal women” means – ??? But biological women and born women are clear enough, and obviously men are not either of those, no matter what they call themselves.

Dumb counter-factual assertions are just dumb counter-factual assertions. They’re even born dumb counter-factual assertions if you like.

    Trans women are natural women.

    Trans women are normal woman.

    Trans women are biological women.

    Trans women are born women.

    Trans women are women.

The only inherent difference between trans women and cis women is that trans women were assigned male by a doctor. Trans is an adjective that describes that assignment.

Similarly, the only inherent difference between a cow and a giraffe is something equally arbitrary and thus, spurious. And despite what astronauts might tell you, the Moon really is made of green cheese. And whatever Twitter is made of, it is awash with bullshit, which is why I never go there.

Always love how they talk as though a doctor just flips a coin or whatever.

Scene: delivery room. A bored-looking doctor holds a newly-delivered crying baby.

    Doctor: Congratulations, it’s a …

    (pauses, shrugs)

    Doctor: … a girl.

Birthing Parent: Really? Isn’t that a penis?

Nurse: Yes, Doctor, didn’t you mean to say boy?

Doctor (glaring at both): IT’S. A. GIRL.

Birthing Parent (cowed); Well, I guess we agreed to go with “Sally” for a girl.

Doctor: Who gets to do the assigning around here, anyway? Last I looked it was the DOCTOR who does that. Are we clear? ARE WE CLEAR?

Trans is a prefix, and faux women are not women.

OK, what if women take the term “assigned”, and say: “Toilets for assigned women”, “Changing areas for assigned women”, “scholarships for assigned women”, “crisis centers for assigned women”, “sports for assigned women”?

Then within a year — maybe even within an hour — TRAs like Eli Erlick will say “Trans women are assigned women.”

I’m not sure if I’ve understood, but it looks to me like the claim is that the kids were always members of the opposite sex, and that they become trans only because of the sex assigned – on which understanding, surgery later in lift isn’t trasition, but is more like detransition, undoing the transition imposed by the obstetrician.

    “The obstetrician made them trans.”

Why are we supposed to listen to this Eli character when there are other trans people who accuse him of being a violent sex offender? Why are we supposed to listen to this Eli character when he has some scheme or publicity stunt going for a plan to send drugs to minors?

Amazing that we have to contend with his statements of lies as if he was not a dodgy character in other ways. Amazing that the mainstream media has not bothered to even look into this trans hero’s alleged bad behavior.

But some are cis dumb counter-factual assertions, while others identify as facts – and trans facts are facts, dammit! New acronym there; TFAT.

They don’t flip a coin they use a sorting hat. This is why the TRAs hate JK Rowling so much.

Of course, in the Goode Olde Dayes, nature-loving, goddess-empowered midwives did the ‘assigning’ so there was no problem.

There IS an old point to remember: that ‘intersexed’ or physically ambiguous children were surgically altered to match their guessed sex. Often with terrible results when their real hormones kicked in.
