Women’s Aid said a thing yesterday:
They have both – single sex and those that meet the needs of trans and non-binary people. But oh no, that can’t be allowed – women can’t have anything that’s just for women.
They just said that they have services that meet the needs of trans and non-binary people – but let’s bully them anyway, just for the hell of it.

Too blatant. It’s right in the statement. Single SEX services. That’s a red flag, a provocation. Accepting that (even though there will also be services provided for trans identified people) would be admitting that TiMs are not really, actually female. That’s a bridge too far.
There’s an added bonus: it will also show more clearly that those protesting this perfectly reasonable position, are being unreasonable and spiteful. It’s the same as the rejection of “third space” toilet facilities by TAs. It’s an own-goal demonstration that validation through violation is more important than the actual delivery of services that would benefit trans identifying people.
YNnB, that is so true. And in some cases, for predatory men, it may not be validation through violation, but just violation that is the own goal.

Note also the “in consultation with our members” as opposed to “dictated from on high”.
