Some joy in the world! I am happy for both Raif, and his family.
Never should have happened in the first place, but good. Very good.
The good news is that Raif has been released from jail. Of course, it was the end of his (utterly unjust in the first place) 10-year sentence. And unfortunately, he’s still under a travel ban so it’s unclear when he will be able to leave the country to join his family in Canada.
Look how young he was. And those children will be young adults by now.
There needs to be heavy pressure now to let him GET OUT.
I really thought they were going to kill him. So glad he survived. Let him reunify with his family.
