Argumentum ad dizzy bitch

That’s embarrassing. She’s a lawyer and a journalist and that’s her reading comprehension level?

Probably not, most of the time. Probably it’s an excess of anger that caused her to miss the point so thoroughly. Let that be a lesson to us all: when in a rage, slow down and read carefully before you rush to denounce. Otherwise you’re gonna look like a damn fool in front of all those sages and wits on social meeja.

Yeah, I don’t think she heard the swoosh as the point rocketed overhead. I can’t do twitter anymore. Has anyone pointed that out to her?

Yes. I daresay as time goes on it will be many many people. (I of course did my bit, for one. Not going behind her back here.)

Maybe blinded by both anger and double standards. I don’t know if Ms. Gandy is a trans “rights” supporter, but it would be horribly ironic if she was one of those genderists who believes the “Dolezal” critique of gender identity is invalid and inappropriate because SHUT UP. She would be admitting that lipstick and bad wigs are what being a woman is about, while denying the power of Motown and cornrows to make someone Black, thereby making Rowling’s exact point.

I did brave the Twitter cesspool to point out the misunderstanding; as OB suspected, many, many folks got there before me.
