It ain’t pretty

If you’re going to write a book about the Church and its hatred of women, don’t accept a glammed-up tits-out cover. Like this one:

Yeah they weren’t standing their in ball gowns that highlighted their breasts and with flowing hair tossed by the breeze. It wasn’t a sexy festive occasion.

    At least it seems to assume a biological component of womanhood.

    As it’s easier to humanize fairly clear images compared to the vague figures on the right, I think I would have opted for an expressive, emotionally raw headshot.

    There was a description of a burning in Wolf Hall that was pretty stomach churning, including the aftermath describing the smell, soot, and fat slicked cobbles. There’s nothing romantic or sexy about death by fire.
