By the way I just heard from Max Blumenthal that it was AI that targeted that Girls School. AI the Wonder of civilization!

Undignified, juvenile, offensive, and utterly beneath the United States, even if it’s levelled to the current administration.
@MikeB, from what I understand the AI was fed outdated maps. LLMs aren’t really designed for these tasks and although Claude (which the Mavin AI is based on) is very good, it’s just not what it’s for. Note that careful design of safety and review protocols into the AI Agent could have minimised the chances of this happening, but clearly the effort wasn’t made and either there was no human review of the target list, or more likely owing to resource and time pressure the review was so superficial this was missed.
Hopefully there will be criminal al accountability for that looks like a war crime.

Of course it’s quite likely that Trump managed to kill even more people by way of Musk’s smug, ignorantly self-confident DOGE wrecking-crew fratboys shutting down USAID. Fewer exciting, telegenic explosions; just agonizing disease and starvation. And just as dead.

Yeah, but for him, that’s a feature, not a bug. Other people don’t matter to him. All that matters is whether they serve him or are suitably subservient to him. I can’t imagine him being in the least upset by accidentally hitting a girl’s school. Why would they matter to him?
I just wish the rest of MAGA had a better attitude, but for all of them, it appears to be all about one person – themselves.

My understanding is that the girl’s school was right beside an Iranian military base. If correct that makes whoever did that placement partly responsible for those deaths. Rather like Hamas launching missiles from hospitals in Gaza.

I don’t agree entirely Jim. There are plenty of military bases and facilities in western democracies that are immediately adjacent to residential or educational areas. That’s just how things are. From what I’ve heard the school was hit with precision weapons that struck where intended. The issue was the targeting, not a misfire or non-precision weapons resulting in collateral damage.

Horrible. The Trump Administration and its MAGA supporters are so saturated with a racialist hatred of Iranians that they can publicly send material gloating over the death of schoolgirls.
I’m reminded of those horrific lynching postcards where white Christian Americans sent each other jolly letters with pictures of murdered Blacks (or a murdered Jew, in the case of Leo Frank) to each other.
