The Guardian’s take on the subject:
At what was supposed to be a rally for other Republican candidates in Syracuse, New York, the US president devoted a long portion of his speech airing his grievances with the Nobel committee.
“The United States of America, represented by me as your president, should have received the Nobel peace prize, but didn’t. And this is an indelible stain on the country of Norway, and those people that made such a disgraceful and embarrassing decision,” Trump said.
Should have why? He doesn’t explain. He does assertion; he does not do explanation.
“The Nobel peace prize has been forever discredited by a handful of radical ideologues who are anti-democracy and really enemies of civilization,” Trump went on. “We will not forget, Norway, that you didn’t give this prize.”
Even after all this time, one can’t help wondering how he manages to think this is a good look. He might as well be taking all his clothes off and lying on the floor kicking and screaming. He couldn’t be more blatantly infantile and out of control if he tried. He might as well wear a sweatshirt with “Prefrontal cortex completely gone” on the front and back.
