I missed this one.
No you don’t.
I suppose he’s never been to a grocery store or a gas station.

Well, to be fair, at least in my state you do have to present ID when purchasing alcohol (and cigarettes, I suppose, although I’ve never done that). This once led to an amusing episode when I was with a French woman who attempted to buy a bottle wine, and her carte d’identité couldn’t be read by the cashier’s scanner. She was… puzzled why there should be anything concerning about buying wine!
There are many things that your average American does that Trump has never had to do. I will never understand why he has been so successful as a populist. He’s entirely out of touch, illiterate, and stupid. This guy, who cheated renters and banks for years talks about cheating? Gimme a break. There’s not enough voter fraud in this country to even worry about. What he wants is massive scale voter fraud and disenfranchisement in his favor.
And yes, here in Georgia you have to present your ID to vote. Trump is just completely full of shit. But we should all know that by now.
The last time he went to a grocery store he’d forgotten his ID so they wouldn’t take his check. Never went back.
I rarely have to get out my ID. At the bank, yes. At the grocery store? No. Even if buying alcohol (I rarely do, and never cigarettes), they take one look at me and assume I am of legal age. I don’t know if it’s the gray hair or the wrinkles that clues them in…
I do have to show my ID to vote; Nebraska has had an ID law for at least a couple of years. Even before they did, I had to sign my name, so they could always check it against a database. I still have to do that, which I don’t have to do at the grocery store or buying gas, unless I use a credit card, and even then rarely do I have to do it with my chip card.
