Now what’s all this fuss about rape?

A Scottish Green MSP has come under fire after claiming “rape is a spectrum”.

Q Manivannan, a transgender Indian migrant who was elected while only holding a student visa, faces a barrage of criticism after a short 23-second video circulated on social media.


In the clip, the 30-year-old said: “There definitely is a demonisation of rape, in the sense that it is a spectrum.”

However, he says that the clip was taken out of context.

Q Manivannan added: “If we are to tackle rape and sexual violence we need to tackle wider issues in society, including the ways boys and men are socialised, the communities or lack thereof they’re in, and how they’re raised.

“When talking about a spectrum I was making the point that laws often take a narrow definition of what rape and sexual violence is, which often allows it to continue without consequence.”

If that’s what he was saying then he’s not wrong.

    Any right winger in the UK will tell you we’ve had a problem recently with immigrants raping English women. They’ve been coming over here particularly since WW2, and part of the problem is their culture, which is very different from ours, particularly with respect for women and their respect for our laws. And a big problem is that the laws they’re used to have a VERY narrow definition of rape, far narrower than UK, so yeah, “spectrum”.

    Which, in itself, wouldn’t be a problem if the UK police and legal system was what was used, which you’d think it would be since the crimes take place in the UK… but our police forces, incredibly, allow these immigrants to investigate AND PROSECUTE, using their own culture’s idea of how to handle a rape trial. Right wingers hate the idea of immigrants not being subject to UK laws and having courts just for themselves, but believe it or not, the UK legal system lets them.

    All male juries consisting of the accused’s workmates, no screens in the court so the victim has to face her rapist, and other degrading barbarities. And this shit is tolerated. As far as these foreigners are concerned what UK law would definitely call “rape” is defined away as “aggravated sexual contact” or other euphemisms.

    Frankly, I think we should send em back where they came from, the lot of them.

    The United States, obviously.

    Ya, because they’re all a bunch of lawless rapists.
